      Zatarain's Enriched Parboiled Long Grain Rice brings the authentic flavor of New Orleans to your kitchen- use in your favorite red beans, jambalaya or pilaf. Our steaming process results in parboiled rice that always cooks up separate and fluffy, and ready in less than 30 minutes. Zatarain's Enriched Parboiled Long Grain Rice makes it easy to create traditional Creole or Cajun meals like gumbo and dirty rice from scratch. It’s also a perfect side to weeknight dinners or added to everything from chicken soup and chicken & rice casserole to burritos, sushi and stir-fries. Zatarain’s Rice delivers quick, delicious fluffy white rice with long grains to ensure that it’s never sticky.

      Ingredients

      Enriched Long Grain Parboiled Rice (rice, Iron, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Folic Acid).

      Directions

      Microwave Directions: 1. Mix 2 1/2 cups water and 1 cup rice in microwavable bowl. Add 2 tsp. butter or margarine and 1/2 tsp. salt, if desired. Cover. 2. Microwave on high 5 minutes. Stir. Microwave on medium (50% power) 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the water is absorbed, stirring occasionally. 3. Let stand in microwave 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Microwave ovens vary; adjust cooking times as needed. Cooking times are based on an 1100 watt microwave oven. Stove Top Directions: 1. Bring water to boil in saucepan. Add butter or margarine and salt, if desired. 2. Stir in rice. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the water is absorbed. 3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.
